St Benedict's Library: About the Library

About St Benedict's Library

St Benedict’s Library supports teaching, learning and research associated with the Notre Dame Sydney Schools of Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, Law, Philosophy and Theology. Originally established in 2005 within the former St. Benedict’s School-Hall in the main academic building (NDS2), rapid growth in student enrolments and resources preceded its relocation into Canavan Hall (NDS6) during December 2011.

The Library spans a single level on Grafton Street offering contemporary spaces, collections and facilities supporting students and staff in an increasingly busy learning and research commons. Substantial and growing physical holdings of books, scholarly journals, law reports, legislation, education curriculum resources, magazines and DVDs are supplemented with extensive online collections of multidisciplinary and specialist books, encyclopaedias, journals, case studies, commentaries, magazines, newspapers, videos and other resource types. A team of experienced and qualified library staff are available onsite and online to support clients.
