LAWS3090 Human Rights Law
Human Rights Law is a rapidly expanding branch of Public International Law. This course explores the historic evolution and conceptual foundation of contemporary human rights law, the key human rights treaties, and the main international and national institutions established to ensure compliance with human rights standards by governments, organizations and individuals.
LAWS6006 International Human Rights Law
This course explores the historic, philosophical and religious foundations of contemporary human rights law, the main human rights declarations and treaties, and the central international institutions established to facilitate compliance with human rights standards by governments, organisations and individuals. The extent to which human rights are recognised and protected under international and domestic law is critically examined.
