A journal citation alert is a notification service that informs you whenever a particular article is cited in new academic literature.
You will usually need to register a free account with the database before setting up alerts. Once you have registered, search for the subject or author that you wish to receive alerts for and look for an option to sign up for alerts.

Abstract and citation database of peer reviewed literature in the fields of science, technology, medicine, social sciences, and arts and humanities. Use Scopus metrics and analytical tools to identify authoritative research and experts.
You can create author and document citation alerts in Scopus. Search for either the author or document and then click on the Set Citation Alert link.
You can create citation alerts in Web of Science. Search for document and then click on the Create Citation Alert link.
Google Scholar helps you find scholarly research on the internet.
Use Google Scholar Library Links to find full text from the Library's collections.
Once you identify the article of interest, click on the Cited By list.
Click on Create Alert, enter your details, and create the alert.
