Reading Lists: Guide for Academic Staff

Communicating with the Library

I would like to communicate with the library about a specific resource.

  1. From your Reading List, navigate to the item you would like to discuss with the Library and click the title to pop up the details screen.
  2. On the right side of the screen, navigate to the Notes to/from Library tab.

  1. Add your comment, and click Submit Comment. The note will go directly to the Library along with details about the citation.
  2. Responses from the library will appear in the same section.

You can also communicate with the Library about your whole list.

  1. From your Reading List, in the right side panel click the Notes to/from Library tab.
  2. Add your comment in the box, and click Submit Comment. This will go directly to the library staff member responsible for processing your list.
  1. Any comments sent from the library will also appear in this section, and you have the ability to respond.

You can monitor the progress of your list by checking your Notifications tab for any new alerts.

These will include any items that are marked as complete (or another status) and new notes from the library or students.
