Reading Lists: Guide for Academic Staff

Important Announcement

Due to IT system integration issues, there will be delays rolling over reading lists for S2, 2025.

Thank you for your patience while we work through this process as quickly as possible. 

If you require your list to be rollover over urgently, please contact the team at readinglists@nd.edu.au

Rolling over and associating lists

Reading Lists can be used again each new study period, so you don't need to create a new one every time. 


The Library will complete a rollover process for you, usually after each exam period. Once this process is complete, you will find your list in Blackboard for your new course code. 

All that is required of you is the following:

  1. Create a new link in Blackboard to Leganto for that study period.
  2. Check your list and make any changes as required (you can continue to add items after rollover and once your list is published)
    1. If you would like assistance from library staff to edit your list, complete this request form. 
  3. Publish your list by clicking My List is Ready. This will publish the list for your students, and notify the library that the list is ready for processing. 
 Please contact the library:
  • If you do not see your list.
  • If your course code has changed.
  • If you want to reuse your list across multiple course codes.
  • If you want to roll your list over early.

Email readinglists@nd.edu.au with details of your request and the required course codes. 

If you are using the same list across multiple courses, you can link each of them to the same list.
  1. In your reading list, go to the top [...] menu.

More actions menu: 3 dots
  1. Select Manage link to course.

Highlighted menu item: manage link to course
  1. Click Add another course to link to multiple course codes.
  2. Close the window.
If you have any uploaded files in your list, you will not be able to manage the course association. Contact the library for assistance - readinglists@nd.edu.au.
